Do you worry about students using the Internet
"blindly," without evaluating what they see or understanding the sources and
motivations of the sites they visit? These ten activities teach students such essential
Internet literacy skills as how to interpret URLs, assess the credibility of sites for
research purposes, perform accurate searches, and figure out the biases of a site's
sponsoring organization or company. Integrate these activities into a social studies,
science, or language arts class, or use them in a basic computer course. |
